¡¡¡ De Chulapa !!!
La Abuelita, hizo a la peque, su primer vestido de chulapa, que estreno con 5 meses de vida, y al año siguiente... Su segundo traje de chulapa, que después haría "crecedero"... y así lucen de orgullosas Abuela y nieta en estas fotos familiares... ; )

Conjunto de chaqueta y bolso / Ensemble of jacket and handbag
En esta ocasión, la Abuelita Ana, hizo una chaquetilla con corte alto a la cintura y manga francesa, con sus botones hechos también a mano y para rematar la faena hizo un bolso a juego quedando este conjunto tan bonito.
On this occasion, Granny Ana made a litle jacket with a high cut and French sleeve, with six buttons also made by hand. to finish of, she also made a matching handbag, so the combination is just lovely.

Detallitos para regalar en Celebraciones / Small gifts for celebrations
En esta ocasión, nuestra Abuelita Ana, nos preparó unos detallitos en forma de mariposa, rosas y sombreritos, como coleteros y prendedores, para
regalar en la comunión de Marta y Jaime y así quedaron de chulos...
This time, our Granny Ana prepared some small gifts in the shapes of a butterflies, roses and hats, to be used to decorate a pony-tail or as a brooch, as a gift for guests in the celebration of the First Holy Communion of Marta and Jaime. Don't they look charming?

Abuelita, ¡siempre estas al pié del cañón! / GRANNY... you're always on hand!
En esta ocasión, otra vez nos tocó hacer un disfraz,
el del niño, no fue fácil encontrarlo... "Iron Man", pues nos tuvimos que
poner manos a la obra...
Y ya que estábamos, pues también hicimos el de
"Jasmine", y así quedaron de bien, y la Abuelita Ana, tan contenta de ver a sus nietos tan guapos.
Once again, we had to make a boy's costume. It was't easy to find "Iron Man," so we really had to get to work!
And since we were there, we made "Jasmine". Look How great they turned out! Granny Ana was so happy to see her grandchildren so cute.

La Joya de la Corona / The Jewel of the crown
En todas las
familias o en casi todas, hay cositas que se transmiten de padres a
hijos, no sólo los genes y el genio o figura, sino también ciertas
prendas que en una ocasión fueron confeccionados para nosotros cuando
éramos bebés.
Si sabemos apreciar la labor y el cariño con los que fueron elaborados, y nosotros los guardamos para nuestros hijos o nietos como si fueran la joya de la corona.
Y algún día, cuando los sacamos, nos vienen esos recuerdos del tacto y el aroma de bebé y tomamos conciencia de lo pequeñitos que fuimos alguna vez.
Pues bien.... Esta es nuestra joya de la corona..... los faldones y camisitas de primera puesta que ha cosido la Abuelita Ana para sus nietos y que guardaremos con mucho cariño para generaciones venideras.
In all or almost all families, there are litle things transmitted from parents to children-not only the genes and temperament or personality, but also, certanin articles of clothing that on one ocassion were special when we were children.
We know how to apreciate the labour an love whith which they were elaborated, and we have kept them for our children or grandchildren as if they were the jewels of the crown.
Some day, when we take them out, we will have memories of the touch and aroma of the baby and we will remember how small we were at one time.
Well... this is our jewel of the crown.... the skirts and shirts for our presentation that Granny Ana has sewn for her grand children and that we save with much love for coming generations.
